CUSTOMCELLS IMAGEFILM OPEN COMPANY BROCHURE

The Customcells Group is bringing Manz AG on board as a new shareholder. The high-tech engineering company from Baden-Württemberg previously held a 40 percent stake in Customcells Tübingen GmbH, which it is now exchanging for a stake in the parent company of the premium battery cell manufacturer and developer. Manz AG is thus underlining its confidence in the economic development of Customcells, which operates sites in Itzehoe and Tübingen.

Customcells and Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik

Customcells, one of the leading developers and manufacturers of application-specific lithium-ion battery cells, is cooperating with Herrmann Ultraschall. Together, the two companies are pursuing the goal of making battery production safer and more sustainable through optimized ultrasonic welding processes. The initial results of the collaboration already show the enormous savings potential in energy and scrap and help Customcells to make production processes even more efficient.

Setting the digital course for the future of battery cell production: Under the leadership of Customcells, the joint project TwinTRACE brings together partners from industry and research to ensure particularly efficient production processes with the help of a so-called digital twin. With TwinTRACE, the project partners are raising the quality and traceability of battery cell production to a world-leading level and setting standards for smart digitization in the industry.
